Turning America back to God
by turning the heart of God's people
back to Him
by rebuilding their foundations
“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan..."
America is at the cross roads, choosing who her leaders will be for the next few years in this critical time of history. How should America choose her leaders? Who holds the key to America’s future? These are important questions to consider. Eighty percent of people in America are concerned about the moral direction of the country. What are the issues to consider in choosing America’s leaders in the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government? “It’s the economy, Stupid…” is the wisdom of the world, is it based on the economy alone that we should make our choices? Or is it stupid to choose those who will control the direction of America based solely on the economy? What does God say about the qualification of leaders? What are the issues facing Americans today? What should we as Christians do about them? What are the consequences if Christians are not involved or be salt and light in the issues facing Americans today? How should we be involved in those issues? These are some of the very important questions that will be answered in the “70 Million” Book Project.
God looks for
• righteous men to be in authority (Proverbs 29:2)
• compassionate men who consider the cause of the poor (Proverbs 29:7)
• men who will not listen to lies (Proverbs 29:12)
• wise men who listen to a multitude of counselors (Prov. 25:6)
• rebukes and contends with the wicked (Prov. 24:25, 28:4)
• heart of the leader (I Samuel )
God considers the character of the leader more important than his gifts and talents.
It is our desire to humbly offer this book to the “70 Million” to Christians in America who have a heart for this nation, who love God and sincerely desire to do His will. Sometimes even God’s people are swayed by the media and deceived by the secular pundits who call evil good and good evil whom God detests (Isaiah 5:20). God says in Isaiah 5, “My people have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge.” Also in Hosea 4, God says, “My people perish for lack of knowledge.” “70 Million” discusses the main issues in a concise way but is packed with information to gain substantial knowledge on the issues along with God’s perspective. His word is included to help us think Biblically and take action in a way pleasing to God.
